Some of the best BBQ!! Had not been before... just moved to the area and stuck to what I knew SCNB. That night they had left out a pint of BBQ and when I returned the line woulda taken over half hour to speak to anyone! So went across the street to Hursey's and got introduced to my new favorite BBQ fast food joint!!

Traveling back to Raleigh we decided to stop and try Hursey's BBQ for the first time. It was delicious, customer service was above & beyond! BBQ sand , chicken breast, hush puppies and banana pudding we're all so good!! Can't wait to go back ...
Great food, welcoming staff, and a clean environment. Update; Stopped by again. This time, I got the fried flounder filet. I don't usually go to a BBQ restaurant for seafood. However, this platter was as good as any I've had in a seafood restaurant. It was very good, I had coleslaw and potato salad with, of course, hush puppies. The fish tasted very much as if it was freshly caught and the sides were satisfying. This place always meets my expectations.
I ordered a combo plate with BBQ and broasted chicken. My sides were slaw and fried okra. The slaw was delicious and the okra was hot and crispy. Try it dipped in ranch dressing! The BBQ is great and the chicken was nice and juicy.
Great food with quick service. The broasted chicken was just different enough to set it apart in a good way. Lots of food for the price.
I'm only in town for one night and this is where the girl at the front desk of my hotel suggested I go. I got a combo platter with "broasted" chicken and BBQ, hush puppies, cole slaw, and fried okra. For what I paid, I got a ton of food. The BBQ was pretty good, the chicken was excellent. I've never had hush puppies or okra before, so that was a new experience and I have nothing to compare them to. The hush puppies were really tasty, though. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely stop by again.
The food here is always wonderful. Love the Brunswick stew and pork BBQ sandwiches are always delicious and packed with meat.
